MLS Partners With Southwest Airlines So Players Can Pick Their Own Middle Seats
NEW YORK- MLS commissioner, Don Garber announced a new partnership with Southwest Airlines this week. MLS teams currently are not allowed to charter flights, like every other professional sports league, so the MLS Player's Union fought hard to get this deal done.
Bob Foose, MLS Player's Union Executive Director told TFBF, "We think players should ultimately be able to choose their middle seat on flights. They are professional athletes for goodness sake. Why sit in front of an Exit Row when you don't have to?"
Players seem to be excited about the new partnership. "No one wants to sit next to the 300 pounder in Row 12. This new deal gives us more decisions and freedom," said RSL veteran Kyle Beckerman.
