NASL Council Approves 48 Team League
NEW YORK- Following the unanimous FIFA decision to expand the World Cup to 48 teams, NASL announced Monday that the League has approved expansion to 48 teams. League officials reiterated their commitment to push past the threshold of the current 8 teams in the League and expand to 40 more by the end of the year.
Bill Peterson, who for some unknown reason is still making decisions, told a TFBF reporter, "We'd like to see a team in every state in the US (Except the Dakotas). I have terrible childhood memories of driving through those barren states and feel as though those specific markets haven't changed since the 60's. I can only imagine how bad they are now."
When asked about the numerous owners wanting to jump ship Peterson replied, "Fuck em. We will find some other sucker, I mean visionary."
